What is non banking financial companies(NBFD)
Non Banking Financial Companies/ Institutions are those companies which are not banking companies under the banking Regulation Act and the reserve Bank of India Act but carry on financial activities of providing finance. These companies may or may not accept deposits from the public.
They provide lease finance, equipment finance, housing finance.they provide general loans and advances for share trading, hire purchase finance especially against automobiles.
